Born, bred, and corn-fed in Indiana, where my family still lives, I have an appetite for travel. My work has taken me all around the world on a wide variety of assignments. My style has been a merging of many different influences and it continues to evolve as I unearth the treasure that can be found in the work of the great masters. Be it the attention to detail and obsession with precision that characterized the work of Ansel Adams, the ability of Henri Cartier-Bresson to capture a moment, or Richard Avedon’s ability to translate a person’s essence into the image . . . Through my work, I allow the influence of these great minds to continue while allowing my own vision and creativity to flourish.
I’ve decided to head back to university for a while in an effort to placate my penchant for knowledge. As such, I’ll still be taking on assignments, but will be more selective. I’ll be earning my BFA in Photography (despite the faculty asking me “Why bother?”) and a minor in French. I might stack in a second major or minor just for kicks. We’ll see.
